The Journal of Modern Smallholding, is all about growing delicious food, seasonal cookery, sustainability, and working towards a self-sufficient, off-grid lifestyle. It’s written by us - Kathy and Tom (hi!)- and sent to you from our smallholding in the hills of rural Somerset, England.

Our free monthly newsletter, The Seasonal Supplement, is where we will share our smallholding stories; scribble recipes; make enthusiastic suggestions for things to grow; recommend inspiring reads, podcasts or programmes; plus offer a peek at our never-ending to do list. Expect everything from growing apples and harvesting honey, to foraging for wild ingredients, building woodstores, and harnessing green energy.

Subscribers will recieve the newsletter direct to their inboxes bright and early one Sunday morning a month.
